Next invitation for Flexibility and Sustainability Funding PDF Print E-mail

The NW Stroke Local Research Network expects to be allocated funds in the region of £90,000 to be used to support stroke research in the North West during 2010/11 as part of the NIHR "Flexibility and Sustainability" funding stream. All partner sites are eligible to apply for funding to cover short term "gaps" in funding for research. This could, for example be to cover for maternity leave of a research nurse, or to support a research assistant between grants.

The funds are being allocated in three tranches at meetings of the FSF allocation committee in March, May, and December 2010. Requests are invited now for the December round. The deadline for receipt of requests is 22nd November 2010.  Potential applicants are encouraged to contact Judy Ford  ( This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it , 0161 206 1684) to discuss their proposal before applying. Further details of the allocation process and an application form can be downloaded from the DOCUMENTS Section of this website: http://northwest.uksrn.ac.uk/index.php?option=com_joomdoc&task=cat_view&gid=69&Itemid=165.
